This screw-in flint hunting point weighs 135 grains and features a red flint point with finely serrated edges that are sticky sharp when drawn across the skin. The point provides a 7/8 inch cutting width and has a non-barbed design to conform to states that require non-barbed broadheads for hunting big game. The point is mounted into a short, hardwood shoot foreshaft with epoxy and then wrapped with artificial sinew for a traditional look. The short foreshaft is painted black with three yellow rings to simulate the warning colors of a yellow jacket. This arrow will fit any standard carbon fiber or aluminum arrow but will not fit the newer, super slim carbon fiber arrows. This point is for hunting only and should not be shot for practice, otherwise the fragile edges can be dulled. To practice, screw in a field point or blunt weighing 135 grains. When hunting, just remove the practice point and screw in this flint point. Identical arrow points have been used to take deer and even big game in South Africa. This point can be shot from traditional bows, compound bows and crossbows. Free shipping within the U.S.
