Cherokee Arrow Replica (NEW!)
$115.00If you want an authentic, archaeologically accurate Cherokee arrow that represents what the Cherokee actually used in prehistory, this is it. This arrow is a reconstruction based on authentic arrows I’ve examined in the Smithsonian as well as early Spanish accounts when they were exploring the deep Southeastern U.S. in the 1500’s. All the materials in the construction of this arrow also came from the original Cherokee homeland of north Georgia.
The main shaft is rivercane from North GA. The foreshaft is sparkleberry (a native wild blueberry), and it’s tipped with a triangular point of Coastal Plains flint that’s held with pine sap glue and deer sinew. It’s fletched with two turkey wing feathers and are secured with deer sinew. The fletch is trimmed in the unique southeastern style and they are twisted slightly to impart spin to the arrow when it’s shot, and this is a trait I saw on authentic Cherokee arrows. Shipped in a sturdy PVC pipe to ensure safe delivery to your door. Arrow length: 37 1/2 inches. Free shipping to all U.S. customers.
