This glass point is a copy of the type used by Ishi, famously known as the last wild Indian of North America. This little arrow point is made from a thin piece of window glass, and is identical to the ones Ishi made when he was living in the wilderness of Northern California. He’d tip his arrows with these points and use them for hunting deer and other game in the wilds along Deer and Mill Creeks. There are a few surviving examples of Ishi’s original hunting arrows and they were tipped with glass points identical to the one seen here. This pretty arrowhead is made of cobalt blue dichroic glass and is shaped like the prehistoric Jacks Reef Pentagonal points found in the southeastern U.S. It has a a central area of rich cobalt blue color with a perimeter of clear glass around the edges. When you flip it over, you can see the black glass that the beautiful cobalt blue is fused to. But then you can also see the clear glass around it. It looks like 2 spearpoints fused together….a small black one that’s been melted into another one of clear ice. Free shipping to all U.S. customers.

This pretty spearpoint is made of 3 pieces of colorful dichroic glass that were fused together in a glass kiln, then it was chipped into this unique and colorful spearpoint. There’s a thin perimeter of clear glass around the very outside of the point. When you flip it over, the other side is just black glass with that same perimeter of clear glass around the edges. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the other side of the point. Ruler gives size reference. Free shipping within the U.S.

- This finely made glass arrow point copies the type of arrowheads that Ishi, “the last wild Indian of North America”, made and tipped his arrows with when he was still living in the wilds of northern California. Ishi made arrowheads from discarded glass bottles he found at old ranch dumps, and he’d also use pieces of window glass for his points. This point is made of window glass, and copies those that tipped his hunting arrows, though it’s a bit longer than his original points. His hunting points differ from the larger, Wintu style points he made after coming out of the wilderness. Scroll through the photos and you’ll also see a photo of Steve Allely with a deer he killed using replica Ishi archery gear. Rest assured these points work. This is a great gift for yourself or someone who loves the wild west, history, or Native American culture. Free shipping to all US customers.

This exquisite Gunther Barbed arrowhead is made of smooth grey Texas flint with long, very sharp barbs and a needle-sharp tip. It has finely serrated edges that are so sharp they feel sticky when your finger is drawn across them. It has long, delicate barbs that are the classic trait of this type of arrow point. Some people assume these points were used for fishing due to the long barbs, but in reality blood protein analysis of old original points prove that these exquisite arrow points were used for hunting big game like deer, elk, and bighorn sheep. This Gunther Barbed arrowhead is made of smooth grey Texas flint and is based on authentic Gunther points from the west coast. It has both needle sharp barbs and tip and has a fine serrations that are wicked sharp. Due to the shape of the flake that was made into the point, the barbs are somewhat asymmetrical and that’s another common feature with the authentic points.
