Who we are:

Primitive Pathways

This website and the Primitive Pathways YouTube channel is the culmination of Billy Berger’s fascination with our prehistoric past.   He’s been fascinated with the natural world since he was a child, but when he was 10-years-old it was the chance discovery of a broken quartz arrowhead while deer hunting with his dad that would forever change the course of his life.  From that moment he wanted to learn everything he could about how ancient people survived with just their skill and knowledge.  Since then he’s learned a myriad of ancient skills: hide tanning, primitive pottery, stone tools, primitive archery, traps,  and fire making just to name a few.

Billy’s expertise caught the attention of Hollywood producers and he starred in two Discovery Channel survival shows (I Caveman and Naked and Afraid).  He’s also written dozens of articles on the subject of primitive hunting.  Billy has teamed up with primitive archery masters like Steve Allely, Thad Beckum and Keith Shannon to produce a number of ground-breaking primitive archery videos.  Join Primitive Pathways as they continue to embark on more primitive hunting adventures and share the passion of our ancient past with the world.
