Hupa Knife Replica

This is a museum-quality replica Hupa knife from the Hupa of Northern CA.  The handle is made of split western red cedar and the blade is obsidian that's glued in place with pine sap glue.  The short, rounded blade copies the design of the original knife and it's the perfect shape for skinning as the rounded front part of the blade is a design that couples perfectly with the pivot action of the wrist.  My own stone skinning knives possess the same blade shape as this knife. This simple knife is the perfect utility tool.  It's perfectly usable for skinning game or as a display piece....or both!
