This slim arrow is a replica of the type used by the Anasazi/Cliff Dweller people of the desert SW. The main shaft is phragmites reed. The foreshaft is a slim hardwood shoot shaped by hand and fitted into the front of the reed. It's tipped with a long, very lean side notched point of agate, identical to some of the small arrow points I've seen in old collections. The point is held with pine sap glue and deer sinew.
It's fletched with 3 turkey wing feathers cut like some old originals, secured with sinew and glued with hide glue. A hardwood nock plug is inserted into the rear of the shaft, just like the old original arrows had. This made the rear of the arrow crush-proof when the pinch grip was used.
Arrow is shipped in a sturdy PVC pipe to ensure safe delivery to your door.
Arrow Length: 27" long.
