These three metal trade points are exact replicas of the type used by the Plains Indians of the mid to late 1800's.  All three of these points are copies of real, authentic metal arrowheads that are still on authentic arrows held in the Smithsonian's collections.  These points are made from circular saw blades that have the surfaces blackened and then the edges were ground sharp to expose the fresh, silver metal underneath. This copies the authentic arrowheads that were made by blacksmiths and then traded to the Indians for all kinds of material goods.  These are suitable for hunting or for making replica Plains style arrows. Virtually all Great Plains tribes had metal arrowheads like these on their arrows.  This includes the Blackfoot, Sioux, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Ute, Comanche, Pawnee, Kiowa, Crow, and many others.  These points can be used for hunting or the can be used for authentic-looking replica Plains arrows.
