If you've ever wanted to try stone arrowheads for hunting but don't want to give up your modern equipment, these points are exactly what you've been waiting for. I fitted 3 obsidian hunting points to short foreshafts of hard dogwood that have threaded inserts so they can be attached to any modern carbon fiber arrow.  They're carefully crafted to fit snugly against the front of the arrow and are spin-tested to ensure they're perfectly in-line with the shaft.

These obsidian points have finely serrated edges that are scary sharp and are mounted securely to the foreshafts with pine sap glue and deer sinew that's criss-crossed through the notches, just like the old ones were done.  This makes a very strong, secure bond that will bring down any big game animal.  They weigh 115 grains (+/- 3 grains) and can be shot from any modern fiberglass recurve, crossbow, or compound bow.  They provide a minimum 7/8-inch cutting width and are non-barbed to comply with states that require non-barbed arrowheads for hunting.

For a final touch, I painted the foreshafts black with 2 small yellow rings.  Yellow and black is a universal color combination in nature found on wasps, yellow jackets, seas snakes, coral snakes, poison dart frogs and other animals as a visual warning that they possess potent venom and are dangerous.  These points aren't poisoned, but they certainly are dangerous, so I added that color combination to these points as a final touch of added magical potency.  And I think they just look REALLY cool.  These would make a great gift for yourself or the modern bowhunter in your family who would love a unique experience by hunting with stone points.  These points are capable of taking down deer, elk, moose, caribou, wild hogs, and even black and grizzly bears.

The only limitation is that these points should not be used in wet, rainy conditions.  The sinew wrappings will absorb moisture if they get wet, softening the sinew and reduceing its holding strength.  Other than that, they're just as lethal as the most modern steel broadhead.
