Premium Hickory Bowstave (SOLD)

This beautiful hickory bow stave was cut in Jan 2017 and has been seasoned for one year.  It's ready to be made into a premium longbow the moment you receive it.  The bark was left on to slow the seasoning process, resulting in a harder, denser, stronger bow stave.  It's beautifully straight with no twists or sideways curves.  It will make a perfect Eastern style woodland longbow or a Mesolithic European style bow.  Or it can be made into a simple flatbow for hunting big game.  There is one small knot (about 1/2 inch diameter) on the upper end of the stave but it isn't a problem as the stave can be left slightly thicker to reinforce that portion of the limb. This stave can be made into a bow that will safely handle a 29-inch draw.    

Stave Specs: Hickory (seasoned 1 year), 65 inches long, 3 3/8 inches wide midilimb, 1 3/4 inches thick at center.
