Dichroic Glass Knife with Handblown Glass Handle (SOLD)

This stunning knife is the most unique and labor-intensive knife I've made to date. It features a blade of rippled rainbow dichroic glass that reflects incredibly vivid colors. The gorgeous blade is set into a handle of hand-blown borosilicate glass that has wavy patterns of red, yellow and blue stripes with thin white outlines between the colors.  The butt end of the knife has a swirled pattern where all the colors converge.  A ball of clear glass was then melted to the end to magnify the swirl, making it appear as though the colors are being sucked into a black hole. The custom stand is included.

This knife was an "Honorable Mention" in the 2015 Dichroic Glass Art competition held by Coatings by Sandberg Inc., one of the leading manufacturers of dichroic glass.  The contest featured entries of artist all over the world. It was the first time I'd ever entered any of my pieces into an art competition and to be an honorable mention was a real feather in my cap.  Now you can own this winning knife!
