Hunter Spirit Knife (SOLD)

If you want a unique knife that captures the spirit of the ancient hunter, look no further. This knife features a blade of banded pink and brownish purple coastal plains chert that's finely serrated and very sharp and is set into a handle of birch.  The handle is accented with the skin of a gray squirrel that was killed with a primitive bow and stone tipped arrow in the winter of 2013. The uniqueness doesn't end there, however.  The focal point is the handle. Both sides of the handle display a very detailed hunting scene that's been inscribed with a very fine woodburner.  This hunting scene is copied from 5,000-year-old cave paintings found in Spain. The original paintings depict a group of red stag being driven into a group of hunters armed with bows and arrows.  Some of the deer are even pierced with arrows. Does, bucks and even fawns are represented.  So I copied it and put it on this knife.  I've never seen a knife like this, and I doubt it's ever been done.  Until now.  The hunting scene, as well as the "medicine" from the squirrel skin means this knife is oozing with hunting prowess and spiritual meaning.  Stand is included.
