This gorgeous arrow is a museum-quality replica of an authentic Chinook arrow from the Columbia River area of northern Oregon. This arrow is based on several authentic examples in museums, and one in a private collection I've had the privilege to examine personally. No corners were cut on making this arrow, and it's an exquisitely accurate example of the quality of weaponry made by the Natives living in that region.

The main shaft is hand split and shaped western red cedar.  The foreshaft is dogwood, carefully carved and shaped to fit into the front of the main shaft.  It gradually tapers and a beautiful sweep-wing point of banded agate was set in place with pine sap glue, then wrapped on with deer sinew. The point on this arrow copies the beautiful arrowheads of this region known as Columbia River gem points, and authentic examples are highly sought after by collectors due to their exquisite workmanship and colorful stone from which they are made.  The fletch is Canada goose wing feathers held with hide glue and deer sinew.  And the paint design copies the originals.  The paint is natural earth ochre and charcoal....no modern pigments were used.  Every aspect of the original arrows was copied in this replica, and it would make a fine gift for anyone interested in hunting, history, or the outdoors. This arrow is shipped to you in a sturdy PVC pipe to ensure safe delivery to your door. Click photos for larger images.
