Bi-Colored Knife

This unique knife has a split personality...one side of the knife blade is yellow, the other side is aqua blue. The different colored glass was fused together in a kiln and then carefully chipped into the sleek knife you see here.  The blade is set into a handle of Pacific Yew that has white sapwood on one side and dark heartwood on the other.  The dark heartwood is present on the blue side of the blade while the white sapwood is present on the yellow side. As if that wasn't enough, I added striking visual contrast to the junction where the blade joins the handle by wrapping it with red thread.  This gorgeous knife is one of a kind.  Stand is included.  Click the photos for a more intimate look.
