Osage Orange Bowstave SOLD

Here's a gorgeous Osage orange bowstave that's been seasoned for 10 years and came from a very large (18-inch) diameter tree that provides a stave with growth rings that are almost completely flat.  This stave has only one very small knot one one limb, but if you work down through the sapwood the knot will be nonexistent.  The bark has been removed off this stave and it has only a slight wavy profile when viewed along the back.  There is a small twist to one end, but that's easily straightened with grease and heat.  This stave will make a great longbow that's capable of bringing down any big game animal you set your sights on.  This stave can be made into a bow capable of handling a 30-inch draw for taller archers, or it can be shortened for archers who have the more typical 28-inch draw.

Stave Specs: Osage orange (seasoned 10 years),  67 1/2 inches long, 2 1/8 inches wide at grip, 1 3/4 inches thick at grip.
