Black & White Glass Knife SOLD

This long, lean knife features a blade with a core of white glass sandwiched between black glass. The glass was heated in a kiln until it was fused together, then the blade was carefully chipped by hand (after it had cooled, of course!).  It was then glued into a handle of Osage orange that was sanded smooth and sealed with 3 coats of tung oil.  The blade/handle junction was wrapped with shiny cobalt blue thread.  The combination of yellow osage, blue thread wrapping and black and white glass makes this a stunningly beautiful knife.  The stand is included and it perfectly displays the knife.  Click photos for larger images.
