Agate Elko Point

This Elko point is made of really pretty translucent agate with good symmetry, nice notches and finely serrated edges that are super sharp. I love the look of this agate...it was used in prehistory but also looks like AeroGel, a material used in NASA space missions.  Elko points are commonly found in the Great Basin areas of the western United States. Many Elkos tipped small spears in earlier times but they were also made smaller and tipped arrows after the bow and arrow came into use.
